A Numerical Method for Solving Systems of Fredholm Integral Equations of the Second Kind via New Method

Most of the equations in practice have a fairly simple form, and they can usually
be reduced to a system of integral equations. Since few of these equations can be solved explicitly, it is often necessary to resort to numerical techniques which are appropriate combinations of numerical integration and interpolation. Mathematical modelling of real-life problems usually results in functional equations, e.g. partial differential equations, integral and integro-differential equations (IDEs), stochastic equations and others. In particular, integro-differential equations arise in fluid dynamics, biological models and chemical kinetics. The analytical solutions of some integro-differential equations cannot be found, thus numerical methods are required.
In this paper, a modification of Block-Pulse Functions is introduced and used to solve system of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. Error analysis is investigated that shows efficiency and convergence of the method. Finally, some examples are presented to illustrate efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.
